Women’s Discussion Group – Blue Zones & Living Beyond 100

Tuesday, June 11 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Members & guests–free. To register, please scroll down or call the Village office at 773.248.8700.

The average life expectancy in the United States is 78 and yet there are five places in the world, dubbed Blue Zones, where people live an extra 12 years, to over 100, without the chronic disease we face in the United States. Please join us to view Dan Buettner’s Ted Talk “How To Live To Be 100+” and learn the secrets and strategies of people who live in the Blue Zones followed by an interactive discussion facilitated by Village Member Paula Giovacchini. If you would like to view this Ted Talk in advance, please see below.

The Women’s Discussion Group typically meets on the second Tuesday of each month. It is open to women of the Village and their female guests. For July’s program, we will include a facilitated discussion of Women Rowing North: Navigating Life’s Currents and Flourishing as We Age by Mary Pipher. No need to read the book in advance since you will be provided with key themes and discussion questions.
