Village Member John Craib-Cox will lead a walking tour along the Chicago Riverwalk. The tour will cover both the architecture along the River and the history of the Chicago River and its contribution to the development and growth of Chicago. During this tour, you have the opportunity to view buildings from a unique water level perspective. We will also explore the inside of the Michigan Avenue Bridge at the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum, with an entry cost of $6 per person. Attendees will then enjoy a self-hosted lunch at one of the many restaurants on the river (to be determined).
Please Note: The long walk will take place on flat, even ground that is accessible (no stairs), though the optional stop at the Bridgehouse Museum requires stairs to access. Please contact the Village office for further details about accessibility.
- Reservations required for all events.
- The Village aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation. When registering, please let the Village office know if you are able to drive or would like a ride to an event.
