The best gift that you can give to your loved ones is clear communication about what you want and do not want at the end of life. With the increase in dementia in the age of COVID-19, even those with advanced directives may need to supplement their documentation.

Compassion & Choices (C&C) is the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit organization committed to empowering all people to chart their own end of life journey. This program with guest speaker Amy Sherman will review C&C’s end-of-life planning tools and resources for advance directives in the case of dementia.

About Amy Sherman
As the Midwest regional campaign manager for Compassion & Choices, a national non-profit organization, Amy Sherman is an advocate for expanding end of life options and empowering people to take charge of their own journeys. She is leading a statewide coalition in Illinois, in partnership with Final Options Illinois and the ACLU of Illinois, and oversees activities in several other Midwestern states. Over her career, she has led national and state policy initiatives and provided technical assistance to government, business and institutions on a variety of issues, including adult learning and workforce development.
