Men’s Discussion Group – Signposts on the Prairie: A Passport to Where Illinois Began

Wednesday, September 12, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Free

Members & guests–free. To register, please scroll down or call the Village office at 773.248.8700.

Take a virtual road trip — to Little Egypt — and learn why Southern Illinois is considered to be Where Illinois Began. Along the way, we will encounter “signposts” (historical markers) that recall prehistoric Illinois; early French settlement in the American Bottom; a consequential Revolutionary War campaign; and more. All this learning will be accented with recreational stops as well, including a virtual hike at a National Natural Landmark.

The Men’s Discussion Group meets every second Wednesday of each month, featuring different topics and guest speakers. It is open to men who are Village members and their male guests.
