LGBTA Book Discussion: Other Voices, Other Rooms | Reflections in a Golden Eye
Wednesday, December 2 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pmFree
Members & guests–free. To RSVP, please scroll down. The day before the discussion, registered attendees will receive a link to join via Zoom.
The LGBTA Committee of the Village has scheduled its third book discussion. We will discuss two books: Truman Capote’s Other Voices, Other Rooms and Carson McCullers’ Reflections in a Golden Eye. We will discuss the themes of both books in addition to the treatment of homosexuality and gender identity in literature in mid-twentieth century America.
Read both books or one – you will still be able to participate in the discussion. The LGBTA Committee has planned these discussions to provide a safe, non-judgmental place for people to discuss issues with which they may be uncomfortable and about which they would like to learn more. Peggy Walker, Chair of the Committee, will host and Bill Gordon will lead the discussion. Please join us. Your participation is important to us.
- Reservations required for all events.
- The Village aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation. When registering, please let the Village office know if you are able to drive or would like a ride to an event.
