LGBTA Book Discussion: Giovanni’s Room
Wednesday, August 5, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
FreeMembers & guests–free. Registered attendees will receive details to join the discussion via Zoom. To RSVP, please scroll down.
The LGBTA Committee of the Village seeks ways to bring their programs and recommendations for the activities of ally organizations to a wider Village audience. In that spirit, the Committee is proposing a book discussion/club that would focus on discussions of classic LGBTA fiction. It is believed that fiction can create a platform for people to discuss a topic, in this case LGBTA issues, in a positive, non-threatening atmosphere. The purpose, of course, is to create a wider understanding of LGBTA issues, including history, prejudice, discrimination, life styles, protest movements, etc. among members of the Village who might want to develop a more in depth understanding of the Gay community in all its diversity.
- Reservations required for all events.
- The Village aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation. When registering, please let the Village office know if you are able to drive or would like a ride to an event.
