Ever feel like you left the doctor’s office with more questions than answers? Or maybe you needed further clarification from your doctor about something, but forgot to ask? The Village’s How To Use Your B.R.A.I.N. When Talking With Your Doctor Program is adapted from the National Institute On Aging’s “Talking With Your Doctor” and will give you the basics on how to take an active role in your health care, focusing on communication prompts and tips to get the most of your doctor’s appointment. This program will include information about how to prepare for your doctor’s appointment while also giving ideas on what questions to ask to promote active participation in your health care plan. Come learn how B.R.A.I.N. can prompt you to figure out your treatment and care options, helping you to make the best decision for you. This program allows time for supportive activities, open dialog, and a question/answer session. Handouts will be provided to help facilitate a proactive doctor/patient partnership.
- Reservations required for all events.
- The Village aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation. When registering, please let the Village office know if you are able to drive or would like a ride to an event.
