Join Timothy Gutmann, PhD candidate in religion at the U of C, on this 4-week course focusing on the traditions of religious thought, practice, and philosophies of Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism in China, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. Concluding with how Asia’s encounter with modernity radically changed these legacies in thought and practice.
