Death Café Presents: Meet & Greet With a Death Doula

Thursday, March 28 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Members & guests–free. To register, please scroll down or call the Village office at 773.248.8700.

Join this discussion-based group for an opportunity to discuss death in a safe and confidential atmosphere. Emmy Colon, a certified death doula (or death midwife), will be in attendance to talk about her work, including what a death doula does and how they are changing the way we approach end-of-life care (see below for a clip of Emmy discussing her work during a recording of the Hoodoisie presentation, “The Politics of Death and Dying”). Please note that this is not a counseling or bereavement group.
