Bridging the Racial Divide

Monday, March 8 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

Members only–free. To RSVP, please scroll down. The day before the event, registered attendees will receive a confirmation email with details to join via Zoom.

Most of us would like America to bridge the racial divide – especially to root out and eliminate systematic racism. We believe some members are already taking some form of action beyond The Village Chicago; others don’t know how they could make a difference on this persistent issue. We hope to assemble all of those who are doers at heart, who would like to make a real contribution within their personal time and capability limits. Some ideas will be offered, but we hope participants will contribute their own ideas. Please register to join us to build a network of Village members who want added fulfillment through civic engagement.

This event is part of a new Village program, the “Racism Action Initiative”. RAI seeks those who want to take increased personal action to help bridge the racial divide in the Chicagoland community. If you want to make a greater difference in reducing racism, you should want to be connected to this new program.

To help inform our work, we request that all members complete the Preferences Survey by noon on Monday, March 1. Click here for a little more explanation and to start the Survey.
A brief explanation of the RAI program scope and intent in more detail can be found here.
