Looking ahead to the reality that we won’t be doing our spring warbler walk on May 13th, Village member David Baker has agreed to lead a brief discussion on spring birding and provide tips on how you can follow the spring migration from your window, your back porch, your street-and on your “allowed walks.” Fortunately, the birds aren’t the reason for the pandemic this time. They are following their instincts to the letter and showing up in Chicago on their way to nesting sites north of here. David will discuss the kinds of birds we can expect to see, the rough timing of their arrival and answer questions on the best ways to find the birds and identify them. We will invite everyone to keep the Village up-to-date on their sightings and perhaps get back together for a re-cap session later this spring.
- Reservations required for all events.
- The Village aims to match participating members by request to Village events when other members who are attending the event are able to provide transportation. When registering, please let the Village office know if you are able to drive or would like a ride to an event.
